Public transport

The best way to visit the Ghent Festivities is by far with public transport.

Most of the activities take place in the city centre. You can find the Festivities area on this map.

Train

The Gent-Dampoort train station is within walking distance of the festivity zone. Travellers who get off at Gent-Sint-Pieters station, can easily hop on the tram which operates around the clock. Plan your trip and buy your train tickets via www.nmbs.be. International rail travellers can plan their trip via www.b-europe.com. Bus or tram tickets can be purchased via www.delijn.be.

Public bus

De Lijn, the public bus company, organises special night transport (called "feestbus" in Dutch) to take the visitors to the surrounding areas of Ghent. The busses leave Gent Zuid (near the festivities area) and drive you safely to where you need to go. De Lijn offers a promotional roundtrip ticket for 5 euro. Tickets can be bought at different vending machines and on the tram or bus. It’s best to buy your ticket beforehand.

The busses depart Gent Zuid at 0.30, 2.15 en 4 AM. All information can be found on www.delijn.be or by contacting De Lijn

Note: “Feestenbus G12” stops at the campsite Urban Gardens.

Some regular bus and tramlines also run on a more frequent schedule.

Please keep in mind that no buses or trams will pass through the Festivity Zone after 1 p.m. (and after 6 p.m. on Friday 19 July). They stop at edge, so you can enter the Festivity Zone on foot.
