Park and ride
If you come by car we advise you to use the free P+R carparks.
The P+R carpark of Flanders Expo (capacity of 2830 vehicles during the Ghent festivities) is the most convenient because tram T1 runs 24 hours a day and takes you to the city center.
City centre
If you do want to drive to the city centre with your car we advise you to switch off your GPS and to follow the local traffic signs.
Keep in mind that most of the overground parking lots in the city centre are reserved for residents of Ghent (those places are indicated with a sign that says “bewoners” and/or “residents”)
Also keep in mind that most of the paid parking sites are almost immediately full because of the high demand.
The occupancy rate of the parking lots can be found on this website.
General information can be found on the website of Visit Gent.
